Dorvin: Cryogenics & Monstrous Creatures
Owner of the Ice House, a huge whitewashed warehouse just off the main marketway in Istur. Dorvin uses his magic to freeze pools of water which are cut up and delivered to homes and businesses throughout the city. His ice preserves more than food, however. Frozen in blocks of ice in the private parts of his warehouse are a great many monsters, some dead, but many in stasis. Marquis creatures include a red dragon that´s at least 170´ long , which fills one corner and an immense beholder. Always cheerful, Dorvin is a very straightforward person. His round red face and bright eyes are framed by brown hair, thinning on top and bushy in beard. He is known to purchase monsters from adventurers and occasionally will commission them to locate certain specimens. He also is quite willing to sell his specimens to legitimate scholars. When asked why he gave up adventuring he said, "Adventuring is hard, ice is easy."

Donar Greylock: Arcanology
High Priest of Mage´s Sect of Strand´s Shadows. He is strong and powerfully built with blond hair streaked gray and green eyes. For those who do not have access to the Library of the Affiliates in Tonn, Donar has the greatest collection of tomes describing the works of the Elder Elves. These ancients developed and practiced magics that by today´s standards are as extremely potent as they would be considered unorthodox in their thaumaturgy.

Adventurers needing the high priest´s advice are well advised to be on their best behavior. Donar is a strong-willed and powerful man whose quiet demeanor conceals something of a temper. Whenever Donar is angry he speaks very softly, or is even silent. This is not to imply that Donar lacks a sense of humor or a love of fun - something tantamount to blasphemy for a priest of Torodin. He is, in fact, a witty and charming companion, and devoted to those who earn his friendship. Courteous folk seeking Donar´s advice will always be treated to a thoughtful, honest and insightful discourse - well worth the long trip for many a scholar from Tonn, despite the the number of Ghant University faculty who are knowledgable. Donar's not only the best authority on the subject; he won't be long-winded in his explanation.

Lessham Greene: Farming, Grains, Livestock
Lessham owns one of the largest and most productive farms in Hurva; his family has owned the land for years. Lessham is a dour, unpleasant man with gray hair, blue eyes, and very few teeth. He has little time to spare for idle questions, but will provide knowledge in return for money or gifts of ale.
