Blaze Merrick: Military History
A retired general in the Hurvan army after a long and distinguished career. a robust gentleman who allows the army to use a portion of his extensive lands for a summer training camp. He knows everything about any battle ever fought by the Hurvan army and navy, and has several rooms dedicated to miniature reenactments of famous battles.

Ronan Strongbow: Monsters: Humanoid (esp. Orcs)
Ronan is an enormous man, 6´6" tall and over 250 pounds, heavily muscled, with tan, weathered skin, long brown hair tied back in a braid, and dark eyes. A ranger who served the army on a free-lance basis for many years, Ronan is now fifty, but still strong and hearty. He is retired, but still serves as a consultant for the army, and will offer his advice for free to anyone seeking to battle the humanoids. Ronan hates the evil races with all his heart, and bears a particular grudge against orcs, to whom he has lost good friends. Ronan is stoic and serious, but not quite grim. He still has a bit of a temper, and can be quite intimidating when roused, thus giving rise to a rather fearsome reputation, which is endearingly contrasted by his tendency to be gentle and kind to women and children.

Isabel SanSui: Meteorology
Isabel is a slight woman with mousy brown hair and plain features. She was a mage, adventuring for many years as an elementalist (air), but returned from one adventure with most of her party missing and a vow never to practice magic again. She has since conducted an exhaustive study of weather patterns, using her funds from adventuring years to support herself and build a library for storing the knowledge she has gained. She dreams of one day being able to predict storms.

Otto Hesylwode: Mineralogy
Otto is a very short man with a very large belly. In his mid fifties, he has balding, dark hair, brown eyes, and a neatly trimmed mustache. He tends to talk a great deal and often to himself, even when others are present. Despite this, Otto´s knowledge is highly regarded. He has led many miners in search of precious gems and gold/silver in the right direction. He charges a substantial fee for his services.
